Mission
To facilitate the recovery of abused children, women and families
through advocacy, research, training and provision of psychosocial
support services.

The organisation finds it relevant to use the World Wide Web as
a communication media in order to inform the society that they are
available to offer advocacy, training, research and psychosocial
support to people with a range of problems.

HAR works with both local and international partner-organisations
such as The Police, Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA - Uganda),
Hospitals, Save the Children Denmark, Save the Children Norway,
The British Council to name just a few.
These are like-minded organisations, which further the problems
of women and children

Goals
and Objectives:

Initiate communication and collaboration
with other organisations involved in work with survivors of sexual
abuse and other forms of gender-based violence including domestic
violence.

Carry out research in sexual abused and other
forms of gender based violence with specific emphasis on the psychological
abuse.

Raise awareness of government, NGO's and
communities about the psychological effects of sexual abuse and
other forms of gender based violence.

Influence relevant training programs as regards
the psychological aspects of sexual abuse and other forms of gender
based violence.
